Team 109 are excited to announce that sixteen-year-old Spaniard Daniel Mogeda will join them for the remainder of the 2021 season.

Mogeda, from Castelldefels on the outskirts of Barcelona, is no stranger to the World Superbike paddock having scored points on his debut at Catalunya last season. He is currently a front runner in the ESBK 300cc Championship, a series that saw him finish fourth overall in 2020.

He is a multiple minibike champion, taking titles in his first competitive season in 2012, before racing to back-to-back titles a year later.

Mogeda joining Team 109 presents a real opportunity for both rider and team to show what they can do in the final four races of the season, and even if #FRAWorldSBK at Magny-Cours will be a new circuit for the Spanish youngster, optimism is high.

Paul Tobin – Team 109: “We are delighted to welcome Daniel to the team and to working with him. It was unfortunate that we couldn’t finish the season as we had planned with James, but we are all looking forward to this new chapter with a new rider beginning at Magny-Cours. Daniel may only be sixteen, but he has already shown a lot of promise. It will be a new track for him, and our immediate goal is to get him settled and feeling comfortable with no pressure. He knows Catalunya and Jerez and we are excited to see what he can do when we get to tracks that he is more familiar with.”

Daniel Mogeda: “I am very proud to be part of Team 109 for the remaining races in WorldSSP300. It is really a dream. I am going to give my best and I am quite sure that this opportunity will give me the possibility to continue growing in my sport career. I thank Team109 for trusting me and I am excited to begin my journey in the World Superbike paddock in France!”
