Kove Racing Team 109 finalise 2026 rider line up, Phillip Tonn joins the squad in WorldSPB

Kove Racing Team 109 are pleased to announce the signing of Phillip Tonn for the 2026 FIM Sportbike World Championship season.
German rider Tonn joins the squad after several impressive rides within the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship over the last two seasons including a best of fourth at the Magny-Cours circuit earlier this year.
Tonn joins the recently announced Benat Fernandez in an expanded two rider team that will use Kove 450RR machines in the all-new world championship category which begins in Portugal at the end of March and ends in Spain in October.
Paul Tobin
– Team Principal:“Team 109 is extremely happy to announce the signing of Phillip Tonn for the 2026 FIM Sportbike World Championship. Phillip is a rider who we have kept a close eye on over the last couple of years. He has been progressing well in the Supersport 300 category, and had it not been for his injury at the start of the year I am sure he would have been a championship contender. He is a great rider and has shown some great attributes and we are delighted to have him in our team alongside Benat Fernandez. We have a very strong line up with two fast riders racing for us and Kove.”
Phillip Tonn:
“I am really happy and proud to be joining Team 109 and to be riding the Kove 450RR next season. It was important for me to find a team within the world championship paddock that could not only support me with competitive machinery but also believed in me and I have found that with this team and manufacturer. I will work hard over the coming months to be in the best possible shape for the opening race. I am confident that it will be a strong season and I cannot wait to ride the bike for the first time. I want to thank Paul for his trust in me and for giving me the opportunity to join a world championship winning team.”
